does any one know what this fungus might be? It keeps killing my seeds before they even start to sprout... or shortly after they have sprouted. The garden center here couldnt even ID the pest. Any ideas?

My guess is the seeds get too wet and grow mold. Maybe?

I was thinking the same thing as Celia. This looks like the "on the rocks" method of seed germination, which tends to run that risk. It's also possible that at least some of the seeds that are getting the fungal growth are not viable to start with.
