Pat & Grace Stamile's Spring 2018 introductions were uploaded to their website today.

http://www.distinctly.on.ca/st...

I'd heard they might be coming online sometime this week, so I've been checking in every day. This afternoon I noticed some of them showing up on my phone, but in order to see them on the desktop, I had to empty my browser cache.

It's a nice line-up. I like several of them, but my climate isn't exactly pattern-friendly. 'Bodine' is my favorite, and "the check is in the mail".

Thank you, I've been waiting for this . I couldn't see the new ones at first, until my IT guru changed the settings.

I tend to love bicolors, and my goodness is Vanguard striking. Thank you for sharing the link!

Edit: Anyone know how Northern Hardy either of the parents are, Space World or Front Range?

VANGUARD! Love that reverse bicolor! And I'm delighted to say that I already received my plant last week -- and a bonus of SPACE WORLD -- because they actually ship to people in California in the fall if they wish! YEA!!!

Here is a picture I took of the two daylilies I received from Pat Stamile on the 3rd. I took the picture yesterday, ten days after I potted them up -- and they've already put up at least 6" of growth since then! Thumbs up Hurray!

VANGUARD is also a double fan, although I see now that my picture doesn't show both fans. Oh well...

Well, they're daylilies, so, "Decently, maybe.", but you're in Minnesota, so "Who knows?". There's a lot of southern-bred evergreen blood in those plants. It's always worth a try for a $10-$15 plant, but the idea of buying $100 annuals shivers me timbers.

To paraphrase Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery, 'I consider every plant hardy unless I have killed it myself, three times'. Now, that's a clever turn of phrase, however, he is in the business of selling plants...

Sensible northern gardeners would wait a few years, for others to report in on hardiness, the price to drop, and for "real" pictures of the daylilies to be available.

I know all these things, but sometimes get a little starry eyed at the brand new southern intros Lovey dubby
I have yet to buy any though!
