What does sticky mean when it's by the title of a thread?

Sticky often refers to the honeydew that is secreted by certain plant pests, such as mealybugs and scale. But that word could be applied to a variety of things. Can you provide a specific example and explain your concern?

That option may only be on the Plant ID forum.
You could look at the bottom and find Suggest A Change and ask that the thread be locked or whatever.
