Last year I bought two desiccated rhizomes from a discount box store that were supposed to be Musician and Batik. "Batik" hasn't bloomed, but "Musician" turns out to be an irises that matches photos and descriptions of Autumn Tryst (John Weiler, 1993). It's 35" tall, has a slight sweet-musky fragrance, has two branches with six buds, and is blooming for the first time now in early October. What do you think? Identifying NOID irises is a difficult thing, but because it's a rebloomer the field narrows down considerably. Do you know of other irises that are similar to this? Thanks in advance for your opinions and thoughts!

I would be afraid to hazard a guess since the photos in our database look like at least 4 different iris have been posted under that name. A problem that seems to be going on in the AIS wiki as well. Confused

But whatever your iris is, it is very nice looking!

I agree And it is always nice to see an iris bloom in fall. I have several rebloomers that have never rebloomed for me.

Clarence, Immortality, and "Autumn Tryst" are all blooming for me right now and, Evelyn you're right, it's extra nice to see irises this time of the year. Are there any particular rebloomers that you would recommend? I'd like to get more!

Cantina, Harvest of Memories and Feedback are dependable re-bloomers for me. Your "Autumn Tryst" is very pretty!
