I recently found this outside at our new home in sad condition. I cleaned it up and repotted it. Can I bring it inside?

Welcome!

Its a Canna. Your Canna won't make a great house plant as it will go dormant this winter and you won't see it again until next spring.

You can keep it as a potted plant on your deck but they grow and spread so quickly, it will soon need a bigger pot. The best thing you can do is find a place in your yard and plant it.

Agree with the above if you will be able to water it in the ground. If you live in a drought area, Canna won't do well without being watered.

It will do great in Bakersfield. In fact, Barnum111 will be digging up and tossing pieces in about a year.

But Barnum111, they do need to be watered. The more you water, the faster they will grow.

Canna will even grow in water. I have had it in my ponds and waterfall features. It will be fun for you to see what color it is. I mostly just grow the Tropicana one now. I used to have a lot of different ones.
