I live in Arkansas and I received two nice cuttings with dried ends. They are probably 24" tall and have three branches from each cutting on top with little green leaves. I have rooting hormone & soil I have prepared in two pots. The next steps I'm unsure what to do. Thanks for the assistance and the advice. Mary

Your cuttings are ready to plant. There are several methods for rooting cuttings, and warmth will speed any along. The method I use where they thrive outdoors year round is to stick them in a pot of dry potting mix, stake them, and wait until they have roots until watering. An Interesting method that I haven't tried is to bag them in barely moist long fiber sphagnum, tape the top of the bag shut , and wait for roots. In this case you can actually see them. Either way can be done with or without rooting hormone. Some folks top dress with pebbles to support the cutting, which would probably be best with a branched cutting like yours. If you try the bagged method just lay them or Stick the bagged cuttings in a waste basket to hold them upright in a warm place and wait for roots. Don't water until they have healthy roots.
Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestions. I have a Lowes here. They will eventually go into the clay pots, but I understand about rooting them first.
The bagged cutting idea with sphagnum
moss so I can see the roots, and move them inside and out more easily, is what I will try. We still have 80-90 degree days, it gets into the 50's at night, so I will bring them inside.
Again, thank you and I appreciate you responding so quickly
