Intense silky color. Bud count is underwhelming.

It is a big husky plant, but the bud count is not very high. Blooms are flat and open well. It is also sunfast.

It will always have a place in the garden because it is tall and makes a statement. When in bloom, visitors are drawn to it. They say "What is that big purple one." Then I tell them the name and they laugh and want a piece. I happen to have a waiting list for it.
