I gave my plant to my sister about 6 months ago when I moved to a smaller apartment and during the summer it has thrived and bloomed. But she now is worried about it and has sent the attached photo. It appears to be infested with aphids. When I had it it always went into a more dormant mode in winter but it looks sickly.
Can it survive and does anyone have any suggestions?

Once the aphids are taken care of, it should recover quickly. Aphids are a pretty common problem for Pinguicula and Drosera. She can probably wash them away with warm soapy water but she will have to repeat that treatment every few days until they don't reappear. There is still time for winter dormancy - without it, the plant won't survive anyway.

Thanks Daisy. I told her to try washing them off. I’d never had that problem with the plant & kept it healthy for many years so would hate to see it perish.
