I know i ve been away very very long time from this lovely site, just want to share my experience planted a lotus seeds from September till now 😁😁 Before this am always failed growing lotus from seed but after some tips from Psa (thx so much)" 😚 Finally did it, am mixed 80 % red clay soil with 20% garden soil and water depth 3 inch for starter The result is fantastic , baby lotus grow chunky and healthier, since i dunt have winter season here plus full sun at least 5 hours , am got first aerial leaves in only a month 1 week, put the pict in order from first planting with scale time 2 weeks so on...

About a mile down the street from me there a large Vietnamese temple with beautiful gardens that can be seen from the street. A couple of years ago they had lotus growing in plastic tubs, but I haven't seen them since. I guess I'm going to have to go into the parking lot, and have a look around.
