Plant ID forum: what is this

hi all
can anyone please tell me what this is(see pic) all we know is it can only be a seed growing from our parrot cage as were its growing is were the cage stands in summer. i aint a clue to be honest. not really green fingered so im more intrigued then anything else. not sure if it can be eaten or not. thanks in advance for any info.
