If it is not too big, adorning it with old Christmas lights and covering it with a sheet or blanket might work. A thick layer of mulch around the bottom is good too.

What temperatures are you expecting? Lemon trees are very cold tolerant - they will handle temperatures to just below freezing for short periods of time.

About the only light bulbs available now that would serve your purpose (keeping a tree warm) are Halogen. They look like the old fashioned incandescent lights and are cheap but if you read the fine print, they are Halogen.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

@porkpal ! : " Tinsel ! Tinsel ! It's, only Tinsel ! " Another string or two of lites, heavy mulch, like you said 👍 !
Plus ! Water the nite of freeze. They all keep temps up !!!

Of course as daisyl said : lemons are more frost tolerant than oranges. Depending. How cold and how long.

Yes the watering is very important! In my experience lemons are more likely to be killed by a freeze than oranges.
