3" long, big around as my thumb. It rained hard this morning and the dogs didn't want to touch him too close. I do expect it to be a hawkmoth maybe, tho doesn't appear to be a Luna moth. Anyone know his id? If I doubled photos, sorry- it's hard to tell which I picked
