I have assumed that I am watching the Site Talk Forum because over on the right side of the screen it says 'Unwatch this forum'. If it didn't suggest that I could unwatch the forum, then I wouldn't have leapt to that conclusion. However, I don't usually get notified of new threads or threads that I've been watching. What am I missing? (talking about logic)

If you "watch" a forum, then if you have the "Watched Forums" list on your homepage, you will see something like the following:



As you can see, at the time I took the screenshot two of my watched forums had new activity since I'd last looked at them and so have the little speech bubble icons next to them.

You can watch a forum without watching any threads in it; likewise, you can watch a thread (which will appear in your "Watched Threads" list) without watching a forum.

Oh, I don't know if I have a list of 'watched forums'. Actually, I don't know if I have a list of anything. I'll have to look around to see what I do or don't have.

I'll get back to you on this. I think there's a fly in my logic.

You might need to add it to your home page. You can customise your home page using the link at the bottom of the home page.
