I know Fairbanks would be extremely borderline/or impossible -- but was very curious if there are any iris growers in Juneau, Anchorage, or the Mat-su valley. I'm interested in anyone's experience if they have any.

I think there are a few users in BC (British Columbia), but I believe they are close to the Washington border.

There was one member who was pretty far north. She used to post about the short growing season and was trying to determine which types of iris would do best. I am sorry I can't remember her name. Maybe someone else on here will remember? I don't think she has been active on here in the last year though.

I thought there was one a couple of years ago. I think Stella was her name. I found her Thumbs up . She still is active on other forums @oberon46

.... thanks all for the input. The reason im posing the question is that I have some new gardeners in Anchorage, Wasilla, and Fairbanks who like to get iris from me, but im very hesitant to send up there, with the kind of climate they have. Im not so concerned with cities in the panhandle as they have a climate very similar to NW Washington state.
