Recently I got a Schlumbergera from a friend, I haven't found the exact species. For all, I know it could be a hybrid. I was wondering about the exact species so I could learn more about it. I received it in pretty bad condition and I would like to help it as much as possible. Any and all help is appreciated.

Are you able to add a pic of the flower opening? The side of the bloom does not hold many clues.

Lovely Schlumbergeras (Schlumbergera) but I always have trouble distinguishing a Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera truncata) from a Christmas Cactus (Schlumbergera buckleyi)
