I just had 3 daylilies registered with the AHS. I would like to add them to the database, but have some troubles with the language. I live in Germany and my English is not so good. Please can someone explain the words Series, Cultivar and Trade Name to me?
Is Cultivar Hemerocallis? Trade Name the name I gave the daylily and Series the family the plant belongs to (daylily)???
Thanks very much for your help.

The pictures shows hemerocallis My Pattern Kaleidoscope

This is all you need to add:

Primary common name: Daylily

Accepted botanical name: Hemerocallis
(Genus species):

Cultivar: My Pattern Kaleidoscope

and then the link from the AHS

There is no Series or Trade name for registered daylilies.
