Hi,
How do you go about editing a post to the plants database? I posted a photo of what I thought was a Texas Pistache but now I'm pretty sure it was actually a Chinese Pistache. It gives beautiful fall color but it's not the Texas/Mexican Pistache. Please let me know how to fix this. I may lose an acorn or two because of this mistake, but that's my fault.

Thanks,
Chris Reid

No worries, Chris. Go to the database entry, go to your photo, double click on it, scroll to the bottom and there will be an option to "move" the photo to the proper place. Easy. I think the nuts are just there to stay, give some away if you feel like it.

Hi Chris,

Not a big issue. Deb's answer is correct - you can propose the move of your photo to the correct entry in the database. Please let me know if you need any assistance with it.

I did that, but nothing changed. The Mexican pistache entry still has my Chinese pistache photo. Will it change eventually?

Thanks!

Hi Chris,

Proposals are generally approved manually by moderators & admins, so it may take some time (depending on what type of proposal it is) for a proposal to be approved (in certain cases moderators only deal with their queue every few days). In this case I've just seen it (which is a little under 3 hours after you submitted the proposal), so I'll take care of it now.
