What a beautiful picture of a gorgeous iris. Keith Keppel and other hybridizers have certainly produced some fantastic iris over the years. Historics are OK but I'll take one of these wide ruffled beauties with such wonderful colors any day.

I am especially drawn to the red beards, but the color combo is especially attractive to me, so I ordered it last summer!

I have posted a photo on the plant data base of this one with the late evening sunlight coming through after a rain. With no touchup or photoshop, the color is astonishing. Grows great in Indiana, proving that progress is being made on getting good plant vigor now from many of the west coast varieties.

Lovely....lighting does create some nice differences.
