I was going through my list of this year's plant purchases (trying to catch up and correct my lists), and was adding them onto my plant list here. I thought that it was not possible to add a plant if you already had it, but I discovered today that was not true. (I was in the database looking under one of my irises to see who didn't have it (that I might be able to give a piece to next year), and discovered that I was listed twice as an owner! I found some other irises of mine that ditto, I was twice listed as owner.)

When I was adding plants last night, I was mostly doing it from my plant list page (where it allows you to add a plant), as opposed to going out to the database, looking up the plant, and adding it from there. Maybe that is where the bug is?
It's daylily season!

It's not exactly a bug, more of a feature, but I should probably look into fixing the interface to this.

The system now allows you to have duplicates, as well as plants that aren't in the database at all.

Duplicates might be handy if you have a particular plant growing in two locations and you want to track them separately for whatever reason.

But the system should handle it gracefully. I'll give this some thought. Smiling

Thanks Dave. I might take advantage of this to separate out my Lilium martagon varieties (which are all considered synonyms of Lilium martagon var. martagon).
