Hello everyone!

I'm new around here, and I apologize if this isn't in the right forum, but I was hoping someone might be able to help me locate a plant or its seeds that I have been looking for.

I have been looking for a plant that goes by the common name San Marcos Hibiscus, but it's actually a species of cotton (Gossypium harknessii). Does anyone know of any commercial sources for this plant or its seeds that ships? There are some nurseries that sell plants locally in Arizona as well as some wholesalers, but none of them ship or offer seeds for sale.

I am assuming it isn't available here in Iowa (zone 5a) because it isn't hardy here, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be enjoyed indoors if properly cared for. Here is the plant database page for this plant for those that are interested:

San Marcos Hibiscus (Gossypium harknessii)

I'm not sure Gossypium californicum is a correct synonym for this plant listed in the plant database, but if you Google this species you will see it has yellow flowers with some red at the bottom.

If anyone has any leads on this plant I would really appreciate any help they could provide in locating it.

Thanks much!
Matt
