Purchased a Jasmine plant in a 10"diameter plastic container (1'high). I want to replant into an outdoor weather resistant pot (22"diameter and 2 1/2' tall). I will use this against a fence that is 6'high and 20'long. Will I ultimately need to replant this jasmine? If so, how long until it becomes too large for the pot? Not sure I could afford a larger pot and would hate for it to die once it covered the trellis and fence. I have heard different answers and need an experts advice. Thank you in advance

Welcome!

That's a really large pot - I can't imagine your Jasmine will outgrow it but you will have to replace some of the dirt once in awhile. You can do that without uprooting the plant though.

Thank you Daisy. It would be so dissapointing to lose these after a few years of care. One lady told me it would take 20 years, another said 3 years for it ti be "pot bound". You can see why I have been somewhat paralyzed.
