I had the opportunity to use an electric chain saw the shop let me borrow while my gas saw was waiting on some parts. It was a Husqvarna. I had my doubts about it, but it worked great. No gas mixture to fool with, no choking and jerking to crank. I think if the rental store has one available it would be worth looking into. I was really surprised how much I was able to cut with just one charge, plus they supplied me with a charger and extra battery to use, so that worked really well for me.

Larry, I remember your telling me about this earlier and that's what I was hoping for. I'm going to drive over to the hardware/rental store in Greencastle this afternoon and speak the man there and see if he has one. I really don't think I want to try a gas powered saw. The few times I've tried to use one I could not get it started (not strong enough to keep pulling the cord!)
The end is nothing, the journey is all.
