I have forsythia Bushes at my new house. Now that it's mid fall,. Do they need to be trimmed? Should they be shaped? Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome!

Prune your Forsythia in the spring after they bloom. Forsythia bloom on old wood (the growth from this summer).

I agree not to prune until after they have bloomed. Unless you prefer a formal hedge look, or need to prune out dead wood, I'd leave them to grow in their natural, gracefully arching way.
