Lilies forum: Sap sucking sugar ants on lily buds.

Last year I experienced more of these tiny little ants than ever. They break the skin on the mid rib at/near the tip of buds for juice and are most active around dawn. The end result is a loss of color or brown dicoloration on the bud and flower tips. Anybody have a suggestion for a 'home brew' remedy or a safe commercial product? I'll try to upload a picture of the little villians working on one of my selections.

Yes, I have,.,.and a major problem this year, especiall with the regales,.,.all i can suggest is a liquid 'ant rid, circling the stem [consistently]
