Hi Everyone! I just wanted to fulfill my enabling duties and let everyone know which vendors are open and which will be opening in the next few weeks! Green Grin!

First off Beaumont Ridge Iris is currently holding a "buy it now" auction on their Facebook page, which is hosted by one of our wonderful members @TBMan. If you do not have a Facebook account, but would like to participate, please send a treemail to Timothy and he will assist! There are 200+ varieties for sale!

Coming up on Dec. 1st, The Shady Spot will be open for orders!

Also on Dec. 1st, Superstition Iris Gardens will be unveiling their 2018 intros! There is 1 reblooming SDB, 1 reblooming Aril-median (OGB-), 1 Aril-median (OGB-), 1 Arilbred (OGB), and 4 TBs Hurray! Pre-catalog order additions/discontinued lists will go out mid December and they will be accepting pre-catalog orders shortly after that, with a definite date to be announced in the next few weeks.

Lastly, Stout Gardens will be open Dec. 16th!

Enjoy!! nodding

I am working on finalizing my Wishlist. It usually takes a month to dwindle down to an acceptable number. But in the meantime, I am excited as can be (like everyone else), about seeing the new intros!!!

Thanks to TBMan's early sales for next year I was reminded on Facebook to return. Green Grin! I am short on space here because I need yard space for other plants and my kids to play (1/5 acre lot). I was so overwhelmed with the last year's orders my husband had to do most of the planting and now I won't know what's next to what until they bloom and look at my lists to narrow down and marker them next year D'Oh! . I also didn't get around to splitting a few beds and removing the weedy historical iris which just choked itself to not bloom this last spring Shrug! .

You helped me last year with some great green suggestions, if I remember right,, that I purchased, Hope if any bloom this Spring, you are around to share the joy with Smiling

Elsa, thank you Big Grin I purchased the green SDBs available at Mid-America this spring. I love that color. I also found four iris I would love to have on Beaumont Ridge's Facebook, but I haven't placed an order yet. We'll see I guess.

I gave in. Tim is definitely a great iris pusher man. Hurry and look folks. Some good ones and some of my single rhizomes last season ended up with 4 stalks coming from them. Totally unexpected! You won't be disappointed.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

Nice to see you back on here Niki! I also gave in Gabe *Blush* I'm SERIOUSLY trying to reduce what I buy this year. I was thinking I would skip ordering this year entirely, but I just cant do that. I'm having to choose between my own seedlings and new intros, grr!

I can so relate to that -- was thinking the same thing as far as my situation for 2018 , but if you/you all look at my want list in my profile, the group can correctly deduce that I won't be able to restrain myself ......

Debra - to quote Judy's facebook page:

"Inventory has been completed and website updating has begun. Due to much higher than anticipated sales this year (thank you, customers!), we have decided to hold all of the Tom Burseen seedlings scheduled for introduction for another year to increase stock and further evaluate them here at The Shady Spot. Sorry for any disappointment! The website is scheduled to open on December 1st and will have many varieties not offered here this year, including many recent ones of Tom's. Stay tuned!"

So at least some intros will not be in with the newbies. Probably a very good thing for my wallet.

They may reach out and ask if I'm ok Hilarious!

I have mixed feelings about waiting on some of the new intros at Shady Spot. I was initially disappointed, but then happy that I wouldn't spend as much. I'm excited to see what all of vendors have this year in general.

I am sure I will buy too many and the pot ghetto will never end. I wish the vendors had a "garden bed builder special" - buy 20, we will have a landscaper come in and build you a bed for 100 (they hope you will come back for more of course).

Liz, the enabler-in-charge and Timothy a close second!

I succumbed, weak that I am.

Here is what I got from Beaumont. It is a small order, as I only have a little bit of room left in my fenced garden area. I am making some room for future seedlings, if I get so lucky. If not, many will need dividing eventually.
