I got this rubber plant a couple months ago and I can't tell if it is one plant or three. Could anyone shed light in this? I attached photos. I also was wondering if there is a way to promote new leaf growth near the base where it lost a few leaves early on.
Thank you!

It appears that there are three stems coming from a single rootstock. But I'm not sure why you are asking. If you are thinking they are three different plants and should be separated, I think you should consider it as one plant and leave them together.

It is very unlikely that you will get new growth on the lower stems. New leaf growth is almost always at the tip ends of each stem. Focus on good light and proper watering to avoid excessive lower leaf loss. However, it is normal for some lower leaves to die as healthy new ones are added on top.

Give it lots of indoor sunlight.

Thank you! I just didn't want to over crowd if it was three plants that tight and should be separated l. But if you think that it is fine either way that is great Smiling

There is only one root system and that pot has plenty of room for them. Plants actually do best when kept moderately potbound. Trying to divide the roots is not a good idea.
