Well, it must be happy in my plant room with grow lights and a humidifier!
Was surprised today when I noticed it bloomed.

Linda, Thumbs up really great growing! I've never seen a Persian Shield (Strobilanthes) in bloom! We don't have any photos of blooms in the database so you should upload one showing those pretty flowers!

I sure tried, but was not sure how to do it when I got to the part asking trade name and especially the part for adding a link.

Linda, it sounds like you were trying to enter it as a new plant and it already exists in the database. Click on that blue link above and on the left side of the page, click on Upload a photo. Choose the photo from your computer and it will take a few seconds to upload and then you will get a page asking what the photo is. Check off bloom and at the bottom of the page select Finished.

OH bless your heart! I went to data base and could never find any place that said upload photo except for landscape, my head started to throb because I could not figure it out even with the directions I was given, but this link was so nice to click on and get er done, thanks so much.

Smiling I didn't know which species Linda's plant might be, that's why I shared the link for the general entry for all Strobilanthes.
