We have these hidden behind a pomegranate tree. Has some type of silk in it, and had a milk like substance when we pulled it from the branch. what is it?

Could be Morrenia odorata. Is your plant a vine?

Thank you so much, that is it. Do you know any specifics about it? Like is there any purpose for it?

If that is your plant for sure, you might read this https://www.bing.com/search?q=...
You're not showing leaves/vine, so it could be milkweed vine instead. The fruits look very similar.

It would be good to see the leaves and the rest of the plant to get a more accurate identification. Can you supply more pictures? Thank You!

I thought it looked like a milkweed.
