I'm thinking about clearing an area for a new bed and it's a spot where I think Heuchera would do well. Morning sun, afternoon shade. But it's also sort of highway for the local deer population. What do you think? Would I just be planting a deer salad bar?

Hi Sandy,
I don't have deer in my garden but plenty of people have said deer do eat heuchera on this forum. I believe they would have to be protected. Lets see what others say.

Not a favorite of theirs, but they will eat if nothing better around.

Thank you. "Not favorites" might be the best I can hope for. I think I'll try a mix of ferns and heucheras there and see how it goes.
