This photo was taken at Lake Bonney in South Australia.
The lake is part of the Murray River system, it is quite shallow & levels vary greatly due to evaporation & changing river flows. In periods of drought the lake has been known to dry out.
Many species of birds are found here, principally pelicans & ibis.
