Just an FYI, the site is (finally) up and running. And he has one of his itty bitty spidery seedlings for sale! So, I bought one. Hurray! Let me introduce you to Uncle Newt.

I admire your resolve, Diana. But I'm too scared that what I want, will be all sold out in the spring. So as soon as I see " it", I get it. Excited about this one.

It had me as soon as I saw that green throat. And, silly me, I already know what I want to cross it with. Hummingbird.

Orange Velvet is a great one, I've seen three sets of scapes on it here.

Orange Velvet is stunning! I would have pegged it as a Tet just from the pictures. Gotta find that one, and thank you for the info.

Orange Velvet performed very well here in Zone 8B as well. *(Purchased my plant locally not from O'Bannon Springs)

We placed an order this morning to O'Bannon Springs Daylilies. We have been buying from there for 3-4 years. I was wavering on buying Uncle Newt until I saw the branching in the second picture Tina posted. Thanks, Tina!

And the bud count (35) ain't too shabby either! I would trust that any intro by Steve Williams is more than just a pretty face.

Thank you for that tidbit of information! That makes it even better. I plan to use Uncle Newt in hybridizing. Steve usually send us one of his introductions with our orders. We have been extremely pleased each time.

Can't wait to see what you get hybridizing with this one! I'm just a newb, haven't dabbed my first flower, yet. But 2018 is going to be experimenting with color. Hope there is bit of magic along with the mud I'll no doubt create. I'll be having fun and learning.

2018 will be my first year. My husband has been hybridizing for several years, and I have spread some pollen occasionally. I used 2017 to obtain more plants I want to use and also to move some to a "hybridizing bed." I have to now figure out how to free up time to hybridize. That may be my biggest obstacle to overcome, certainly the first one. Best of luck to you!
