Hello! a couple days ago I got an oerstedella centradenia orchid for my b-day. One of my cats decided to bite off it's buds and parts of the leaves. Will it make it? Is there any chance I can improve it's chances of surviving?

I think the cat will survive; I don't know about the orchid.

Luckily, there are no known species of orchids that are poisonous. We learned that after my daughter's Iguana had one of my orchids for lunch (the orchid didn't make it).

Maybe if you can post a photo of your orchid (and your cat Smiling ) we can help you decide.

I think they will both be fine. It will take longer for the orchid to look fine - just keep it away from the cat.

Gorgeous cat! Lovey dubby

He/she`s so handsome, probably thought the orchid was a love gift from you!
