Hello all,

I acquired two bladderworts a couple weeks back from a local grower. The first one I purchased, and it is doing very well.

However, this second one is a more rare and expensive bladderwort, and he kindly gave me a free cutting. I placed it along with my other carnivorous plants in my greenhouse in standing water. A week or so later, the leaves started to brown and die back. Today, there are no leaves.... I've kept it just because I'm hoping it comes back, but who knows. Any ideas?

The only Bladderworts I have ever seen are aquatic. I didn't realize there were some terrestrial versions also.

These are aquatic! The grower just said I had to keep them in standing water. I kept them in the containers I purchased them in! I think they are just filled with some sphagnum

Well do you know if the second plant is tropical or temperate? If it's temperate it's probably a goner.

So I guess my U. calycifida is terrestrial!! And it's tropical. So does that mean it will survive??
