I have tried several times to overwinter one in my pots, but perhaps you will have better luck in the ground.

Did well baking in my rock garden-- full sun, south-facing slope, dry heat high 90s--low 100s
Had to keep cutting back that lovely flowering weed you can see there trying to smother it.

Currently under snow, so we'll see how it handles winter

Interesting info on plant: http://www.robsplants.com/plan...
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
