I have R.Tzigane in my garden. It is very fragile now as it is over 50 years old. (I bought it for my late father when I was 11years old) It has moved with me to 3 different gardens in the last 20 years.
I mulch it every year and feed it with wood ash from my fire. It repays me with one beautiful bloom every year.
As far as I know only one nursery in the UK still grows this rose.
Has anyone else grown it. I'd love to know it's parentage.

Lovely colors! Unfortunately I know nothing about it, but I wonder whether it likes being fed wood ash which is quite high pH. Is your soil very acidic?
