I'm hoping someone might know what this plant is. It will soon be in my care at my new home and I would like to know how to care for it but first I need to know what it is :)

Lady's mantle?

It looks like a Heuchera/Coral Bells.

Agree with janinilulu..Heuchera...there are now may named cultivars.

Your leaves have more of a wave to them

At this stage there are many Heuchera it COULD be.
Leaves can change colour in summer when they get more light.

There are now hundreds of named cultivars in UK.
What colour are the flowers? That is something else you need to know before getting an accurate name.

This plant is currently sited in deep shade. I'll report back when flowers appear!

Yes they do....except Geraniums develop a stout stem from which several leaves grow ...as can be seen in your pic..on left side.

Heuchera do not develop a stout stem...just one soft stem with one leaf on the top.

Hope this explains the difference.
