I'm hoping someone might know what this plant is. It will soon be in my care at my new home and I would like to know how to care for it but first I need to know what it is :)

@ryn24baolcom Hi & welcome! If you start a new discussion for your question, it will get the attention it deserves, and hopefully a more specific ID than "interesting looking fern-type thing" that I can offer. Best luck!

Sorry but it is definitely not Heuchera Sweet Tart. IMHO.

http://www.plantpost.co.uk/img...

Your leaves have more of a wave to them

At this stage there are many Heuchera it COULD be.
Leaves can change colour in summer when they get more light.

There are now hundreds of named cultivars in UK.
What colour are the flowers? That is something else you need to know before getting an accurate name.

It so resembles leaves of geraniums.

Yes they do....except Geraniums develop a stout stem from which several leaves grow ...as can be seen in your pic..on left side.
See link...

http://alifesosimple.com/wp-co...

Heuchera do not develop a stout stem...just one soft stem with one leaf on the top.

Hope this explains the difference.
