Good article Deb!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

I know people like Bernd. They are a joy to be near. I learned about the suffering of WWII, the tattoos of confinement, the graves of their homeland & loved ones. And their appreciation of quiet places. Some are fellow gardeners, in their own quiet ways they are quick to share, help, listen, & care. Reading about the welcoming home of Bernd brings back thoughts of these wonderful friends.
