I have a 4 shelf light stand in the basement. Each shelf has four 40 watt fluorescent tubes. So I got to wondering about the cost.

40 watts times 16 bulbs is 640 watts. So say my cost is 10 cents per kilowatt and they are on 12 hours per day for 3 months. Ignore bulb costs.

Anyone want to calculate that?

What does that cost me?

I'm too tired.

I get $23.04
This is what I used for the calculation.
