Thread OP
Piermont, NY
I am searching for a tabletop size heated grow light system which I could use this winter on my outdoor unheated porch. Given the NY temps, it would need to be enclosed. I do have access to electricity. Does anyone know a resource?

I would go looking around , I want to see what I'm buying, not just a picture. Home Depot, 1st. Places that have plants. Also, hydroponic places, they know there stuff, there not strictly, marijuana, as some people may think. Hydro store guy, I talked to, lives in rural foothills. To many critters to deal with. So he grows, all his veges inside, under lites.

It would seem that temperature will be a bigger problem than light. There are lots of light systems available. I am curious as to why you would want to use the seed starter in an unheated location. LED and fluorescent lights are not big energy users, but any heating device will be very costly to operate, especially in the temps we are now experiencing in metro NY.

How about the Weatherguard Eary Start Greenhiuse?

I have one and it is pretty good. I clamp 24" undercabinet lights above the shelves. The plastic cover is well-made.
