Hello,

A neighbor gave me a few plants and I don't have a positive ID on a couple of them. English is her second language and my Spanish is basically non existent so I I was hoping someone could tell me what these are so I can care for them properly.

The first I think is a type of Ruellia but not sure which kind.

Then the second plant she said she always knew it as a poppy, I believe she said the flowers are white.

Any chance the second one could be Knautia macedonica? (They don't bloom white, though, as far as I know.) Do you know anything more about it?

Hi Josephine,

I think that could be it! Thank you. I will know for sure when or if I see a bloom, but I think you have got it.

Hi Janine,

I thought maybe but I'm leaning more towards the evening primrose. Thank you for your input.
