Br, nice to see The progression of your garden. I think the banana trees are hysterical. I'd love to see pictures of how you yank them out of the ground.

I greatly admire your persistence, and I do think you have a farmers heart. I'm really enjoying seeing pictures of your crosses. You have an incredible talent in making them and selecting the best. they are just stunning. I'm quite fond of the deep blue ruffled confection. And the cross with Just Whichery was stunning too. The ruffled p.ink might have been he same cross and was awfully pretty too. I hope that if you decide not to go commercial, that you can pair up with someone who would sell grow and sell them. It's the equivalent of having Monet's and Renoir's tucked away in a closet where no one could see them.. they're too nice not to share with the world. Just my opinion Green Grin!

If I can only have one it would be 12-12A. But 12-12C, D, and E would be listed on the order form too. Whistling

Brad, they are all beautiful, great job! My favorite of the first group was 12-12A. Of the second group, I couldn't stop staring at the ruffles of 13-64. Wow! Hurray!

I agree about 12-12A and that was my favorite from 12-12, although they were all lovely. I realize it might be more fashionable with more ruffles, but in my opinion it doesn't detract from the overall impression of this delightful creation. By all means go for more ruffles in version 2.0, but this stands well on its own. A highly photogenic iris. Also I understand it was a good grower and that is a very important aspect to me.

The second favorite from 12-12 is 12-12F:

For me, 12-A and 12-F stand out. But like Scott said 13-64 jumps out with all of it's ruffles. Lovey dubby and it's purple Drooling . I'd patiently wait in a long line for those. nodding

Only one!!! I would grow all of your seedlings! But if I must have only one of the 12 series then 12B (with 12C in second place).

Even without the green and turquoise marks, I don't think this one should be discarded. A novelty for sure! The gray in this seedling reminded me of a Cayeux creation: 'Ciel Gris sur Poilly', that they nearly didn't introduce. I quote: "We hesitated for a long time whether to introduce this iris, but lots of iris lovers urged us that we should".

I understand that gray isn't everyone's favorite flower color, but I also think that special creations such as yours, always will have a few buyers among those that want something out of the ordinary. I think you might regret not at least trying a few crosses with this one. See if you can get the gray combined with other colors or maybe even try it with 'Ciel Gris sur Poilly'. To my mind this is a quite exciting seedling!

You can see the contribution that Just Witchery made to the form of the ruffled blue one.

/Joining in the rave about 13-64 and I I agree ...no, I _strongly_ agree with William about your seedling with the fantastic grey standards. I would buy it 'as is' just for that grey! ...and I would definitely try to cross it to see if I could replicate (maybe even refine) the colour. Don't you dare compost it!! Crying

I thought we were just supposed to pick from the "12" series? Confused

If that's not the case, then yes, that blue 13-64 is delicious. I am conflicted about the bright yellow-and-white 13-95 (not sure that's my thing in irises) but it sure is attention getting with the ruffles!
