Happy 2018!

I cut off faded amaryllis blooms this morning, not sure if that counts as "yardening" LOL.

Considering moving some firewood to the basement.
When it is this cold, I am not sure if the heat gained when our fireplace is IN use, is worth the heat lost while the damper is open for a day after. Even with glass doors.
I try to do mental yardening as a going to sleep aid. I try to 'see' what plants are there and what I might do in warm weather.

My yardening consists of looking at the dead stems and "thinking" about cutting them back.

yeah, Holly!! I keep putting that off, with the excuse of sheltering native insects. Yet, being glad for the cold that might kill off a lot of ticks.
Looking for the moon tonight, it isn't QUITE as frigid to step out for a minute, but must be a cloud cover- no sign of moon.

So sorry I didn't get a chance to take moon pictures early Tuesday morning. I was up really early and returning a car. The full moon was so big and beautiful. It was playing hide and seek with the scattered wispy clouds. Unbelievably beautiful .

That was baaaaaaaaaaad. (We need a bleating sheep emoticon!) Me thinks your instructor made one too many deep dives and came up too quick.
