Plant ID forum: Succulent, what type?

Not sure which plant this is. (The one on the left.)The ends are very pointed and this one looks very ill this afternoon.

Your plant reminds me of Agaves (Agave)
I can't see clearly but those little brown-like dots/spots may be scale insects.

That does look like scale. If it is, they can be wiped off with a cotton ball/Q Tip dipped in alcohol, or if you see them down in the nooks and crannies, spray with alcohol.
