We came from here
The thread "Anticipation 2017" in Orchids forum

This NOID has never bloomed for me before, and I just discovered the buds when I brought it into the house. Getting ready to pop tomorrow, then maybe we'll have a clue as to what it is. It has long, stiff leaves like a Laelia, not quite as narrow as a Brassavola.

I am watching for several weeks now the buds on my Angraecum sesquipedale unfurling. I think it will be another week.

Look at those amazing spurs. I saw some posts on a Florida Orchid growers facebook page that some Homedepot were selling them with 2 and 3 spikes for $65. Beautiful plants...but not window sill sized Hilarious!

They are great big plants, for sure. Also agonizingly slow to open those nice flowers! The Agonizing Angreacum?

My delicate little Noid in the bathroom hasn't popped any buds yet. I think it's waiting for a dose of sunshine - maybe tomorrow??

While out in the orchids I found buds on my Slc. Love Sound. At least that is what I think it is. But if you look at the buds there seems to be a good deal of color there. I purchased the plant at Soroa Orchids 1 and a half years ago and thrips got the first two bloom spikes. These are past that point.

I bought it as a yellow clone with an almost complete cardinal red lip. I am not so sure. But hey, most Love Sounds are pretty nice plants regardless of color. We will all see soon what color these are. The sheath low to the right also has buds.

Love Sound is Cattleya briegeri by Rth. Bouton D'Or. All images I can find are yellow flowers so this could have the wrong label which is certainly possible. Now I am even more curious to see what it is.

Yay for floof escapees! Can't wait to see that one, Bill.

I have a huge bud on this noid Catt that I've been waiting on for weeks, it seems. I broke off one bud Crying D'Oh! last week when I was moving the plants back outside, but I've had it in water hoping it still might open. Took a pic of it today as the stem end started to turn brown, but it did open a bit so we have a hint of white petals and a dark purple lip. Tomorrow, maybe we'll see it's sister.

This Ludesia is finally ready to open. Poor thing has been in the house for months now and it is stretched way out looking for light. This has been such a dreary winter it was hard finding enough light in the house. The heat being on so much has not helped either, the developed spikes on the kingianum all blasted, it has just been too dry and I don't know how to water under these conditions, it is too much or too little it seems. There are some new spikes just peeking out on the kingianum so maybe.......

It looks very nice, and a pretty hanger too.
