How long does it take to bloom for the first time? I live in Puerto Rico in the mountains in a troprical forest cone 9. Thanks!

Golden Shower Tree (Cassia fistula) sure is a beautiful tree but I'm not sure how large/old it has to be before it sets blooms.

How old is your tree? Information on this page : http://lee.ifas.ufl.edu/Hort/G... states that flowering occurs 3 years after germination so if your tree is of decent size and at least 3 years old, maybe you will see those beautiful yellow flowers this coming May or June!
