Frosty with lots of wind. Had a long chilly walk in the woods with Cuddles and my face was frozen for most of it. /Brrrrr!

We got about 3 inches of snow last night, so the irises are covered again for a while. At least until the weekend when it might all melt again. Shrug!

Currently it's 43 with a high of 61. Rain tonight, then next storm is now on Thursday. What happened to the 8 days of rain? Shrug!

There was supposed to be a 50% chance of rain today, but so far it is dry. Rain has been predicted for Thursday and snow on Friday.

Today was nice, dry and in the mid-60s. Perfect for gardening. We're supposed to get rain tomorrow am, Thursday into Friday, and a biggie coming Sunday into Monday.

Had a bit more rain with the storm last night. The sun is out now but there are dark grey clouds on the horizon.

The snow continued through the day and night. We now have between 5 and 6 inches on the ground.

Current reading on the thermometer is 3F. Snow all day yesterday into the evening. Wind chill is -15F.
This is a picture of an iris patch yesterday. We have about 4" of snow on the ground.

Tom it feels like Siberia here. I'm glad we have some snow to help protect the irises.
It's up to +6F at 10 am. I took the following through the windows. We are sympathetic to the birds
since they endure this bitter cold. We have Juncos & Gold Finches at the finch feeder. They love
the Niger seeds. (Edited to add pictures)

We have had snow all night which is beginning to mount up. Even the universities have cancelled classes here in KY. Roads were barely cleared from the last round of snow. It is really cold out, 10 degrees, but will warm up to the 50's this weekend.

Another round of iris stress is coming for us in NC.

In the 40's today but we are suppose to get rain tonight that transitions into about 3 inches of snow. And then be really cold (18) for a day, then get up to the 50's by the weekend. So lots of quick freeze and thaw for the poor plants.

Got about one inch of snow this morning. My house is on the dry side of the snow area at the moment (like 15-20 miles or maybe even closer??). Supposed to get 2-4 more inches tonight.

I have had the same crappy winter weather that the NC folks have been getting. Very cold (down to the teens and some single digits) with NO snow cover. It will be in the low 50's supposedly this weekend.

The sun came out, and it's now about 18 degrees out. Things look so white and bright, kind of cheery. Snow is melting on the steps and walk where I shoveled.

up to 40 degrees at work with the Sun out. But "Intellicast" shows snow falling in my part of Hanover. Going to be a "FUN" commute.
