How nice, Alice!

Elaine, they were in full bloom at the end of February, see upstream... Smiling It is hard to believe, but February was more pre Spring-like than March around here. This was snowstorm nr 4, all in March!

Ahh, I must have missed them when the family was here in February. You're right, it was much warmer here in February than March, too. I'm thinking this must be one of the coolest Marches on record so far.

The Tillandsia utriculata, aka "Giant Air Plant", is progressing with her first bloom-stem and that stem is over 3' tall and branched. This doesn't photograph well. This is my first time to see a Nepenthes ventricosa 'Rosea', aka "Red Pitcher Plant", bloom, and my plant has two bloom stems.

WOW, I had no idea Nepenthes bloomed like that. Mine certainly never did.

Beautiful Lycoris aurea. I do not see them often, the L. radiata is more common here. Yesterday I noticed my radiata foliage is starting to die down, it is that time of year, spring must really be here this time.

I bought a few neat plants from Vintage Green farms in Hawaii a week ago, and now that they're all surviving I'll show them off:
Cordylines Orange Paradise with fat leaves, and Compact Black Ribbon with thin ones.

Also got a couple of nice variegated gingers that haven't quite hit their stride. Pics in a few more days.

This is what I named the "Green Giant Adenium" because of her extremely fast growth compared to her siblings. She is now 3 yr. old, is over 4' tall, multi-branched (getting ready to bloom on 4 branches), and has a nice caudex forming. For perspective, she's in a 10" diameter pot. She's just waking up from her winter slumber. This plant was grown from seed, donated by Ursula. Now I have seeds from my plant and a half dozen seedlings that were germinated last fall. The last photo shows some of her flowers from last summer.

Since I've been out in the boat for a week, the Brug 'Milk n Honey' has burst into spring exuberance. I'll have to walk out there after it gets dark and breathe in the delicious perfume. These flowers are nearly 18in long, and will suffuse slightly golden before they are done.

Oh no, Sad , that is insane. Folks in your neck of the woods have to be getting pretty frustrated by now. Isn't this blizzard # 5 in as many weeks?

Yup!
8 inches now and still snowing!
It is ridiculous, the Magnolias should have been blooming already and dropping petals this week. Spring seems to be delayed nowadays. Our Dogwood used to bloom starting in early April. This is getting later every year, Dogwoods are nowadays blooming at the end of April into May around here.

Yes!
Years ago we settled here because that's where Klaus' family was residing and NJ had several major pharmaceutical companies, so jobs for Chemists and Chemical Engineers were plenty in the sixties. In the meanwhile, our family has grown and we are all within reasonable distances.
So, Spring is surely coming, maybe in another couple of weeks, although my Apple watch stubbornly shows another snowflake for next Monday.....
