Hi Everyone,
I am doing a restoration project on the portion of my land which is a steep slope and need help determining what plants to plant and also where to place them. The plant list I have listed below is taken from the recommended plant list from the county website (Seattle, WA) for my specific lot characteristics (see attachment for site details). Below i've listed the # of Shrubs and Perennials i need to choose from as well as the options i can choose. The 2 Trees I have listed are required and I will likely place them on the bottom left and right corners to keep them farther away from the home.

# Category Plant
3 Tree Big Leaf Maple
3 Tree Western red Cedar

16 Shrub
Beaked Hazelnut
Evergreen HuckleBerry
Indian Plum
Nootka Rose
Oceanspray
Pacific Rhododendron
Salal
Snowberry
Tall Oregon Grape
Vine Maple
Western Serviceberry

4+ Perennial
Fireweed
Kinnikinnick
Pearly Everlasting
Wild Ginger
Yarrow
Sword Fern

Thanks for any help and suggestions!
Larry

How steep is steep?
Looking to see what is retained, you are pretty much putting in a woods with bushes and shrubs under the canopy.
Are you doing this your self?

If those trees are bigger than comfortably moved in a wheel-barrow you will be moving a lot of dirt and have to man-handle the trees some how.
What is on the hill now?
