I live in zone 9a, on a barrier island in Central Florida. Unlike most of my vegetables, I purchased 6 broccoli plants from a very good local nursery. These pictures were taken this morning and they show the small heads that appear on each of the plants. I'm really excited about the success I've had because planting broccoli was a bet that the weather would cooperate. Thus far, we've had colder weather than we have experienced in the last 5 or 6 years. There are also 3 brussels sprouts plants next to the broccoli. Hope they have little heads too!
