New cactus (from Walmart lol). May be hard to definitively ID since it's so small but I thought it would give it a try! Smiling

I have one similar, and was told it is a young barrel cactus, but I don't have an ID.

It does look similar! The spines aren't really a yellow though, some of them are a blackish/red

I have barrels with spines of all colors including red, black and yellow. I guess we need Baja or Thijs to ID it.

That would be my thought.

Agreed most likely M. longimamma, at first glance I thought it was a young Coryphantha macromeris, but on second glance M. longimamma fits better.

Does anyone have a picture they could add to the database? At present there are no pics for Finger Cactus (Mammillaria longimamma). I found some on other websites I could post but one from NGA members would probably be best. Smiling
